We never collect, store, or sell your keystrokes or snippet templates.

All expansion logic runs locally in your browser's background page.
Local Database

1. Overview & Commitment
QuickPaste is built from the ground up as a privacy-first browser extension. Our business model is based on charging a premium subscription for advanced developer productivity tools, not on harvesting or monetizing user data. We guarantee that your keystrokes, shortcuts, snippets, and variables remain private and under your sole control.
2. Data Storage & No Server Transfers
All your templates, emails, snippets, and shortcuts are saved directly to your browser's local sandbox storage using chrome.storage.local and IndexedDB.
No remote transmission occurs unless you explicitly choose to subscribe to our Pro Plan and manually log in to enable cross-device synchronization. In that case, your snippets are synced over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a secure server.
3. Extension Permissions & Justification
QuickPaste requests minimal permissions to operate. Here is why we need them:
activeTab/ Host Permissions: Required to detect shortcut triggers (e.g./intro) and expand them inline in active input elements on websites you visit.storage: Required to save your snippet library configuration locally inside the browser.clipboardRead(Pro Only): Used strictly to expand clipboard variable placeholders (e.g.,{clipboard}) when you trigger an expansion.
4. Third-Party Access & Analytics
We do not share, sell, distribute, or lease your personal information or snippet content to any third parties. We do not use third-party tracking scripts or cookie analytics inside the Chrome Extension background environment.
5. User Rights & Data Portability
You own your data completely. You can export your entire shortcut library as a standard JSON file at any time. You can delete all data permanently by clicking "Clear Storage" in the extension settings or by uninstalling the extension from your browser.
